MANSMELL Announce Break Up 21/01/06, 5:50pm by toady
Yes, I'm afraid it's true. MANSMELL, after many months of badly organisation drunkenness, has come to an end. Founder and frontman toady had the following to say: 'Like, at the start, it was cool. We got together and got drunk and played some shitty music, wrote some shitty lyrics, it was a good laugh. But then I stole one guy's girlfriend and the whole thing fell apart. Some people can be so petty, eh? After that no one could be bothered to actually organise anything, especially since there were so many of us all with different schedules n' shit'. And thus the months of shouting into a microphone about bombs in boxes amidst noises coming from such instruments as spoons and bongos, it comes to an end. When questioned about what he plans to do next, toady said simply 'I dunno. Some sex would be nice', before going on to admit that he is still working on his own music, writing songs and playing guitar, telling us we'll just have to see what comes along. Of course, any news we get will be posted here, so check back often, and don't forget to join the forums to catch up on the gossip and speculation!
Farewell to all the boys behind MANSMELL: toady (lead vocals, guitar), the dude (decks, being a prat), taters (lead guitar), king colon (bongos and a random assortment of other crap, possibly some beans, or a large squash), chicken (left-handed bass, bongos), marlboro (spoons and other stuff), scrote (guitar and backup vocals) and tricky (savage percussion, string beating and cat strangling). I hope that whatever path in life you choose to take next, it is a good one. Goodbye to you all, you will all be missed.

Well MANSMELL has just had it's first meet-up with footage recording, not in a studio however, and is all recorded from a laptop with a camera/microphone. Constant 2 hour footage. Nothing has gone up yet as editing 2 hours worth of video/audio is a long and grueling task for anyone, but expect to see something soon.
We won't be giving out any full songs yet however, oh no, you'll have to keep on waiting for that! For now, once it's done, you'll be able to get a load of random playing, laughing, drinking and farting - exactly what you'd expect from a band with a name MANSMELL.

Basically, MANSMELL is recruiting again. We desperately need more members, as at the moment we don't have a drummer, could do with some more singers for added variation, a bassist would be good and maybe another guitarist. Plus any other random instruments like violins, keyboards, TRUMPETS, orgran grinders WHATEVER.
SO IF YOU KNOW ANYONE UP FOR A LAUGH, WHETHER ALREADY IN A BAND OR NOT, WHETHER THEY ACTUALLY OWN AN INSTRUMENT OR NOT, ASK IF THEY'RE INTERESTED, PLEASE! THAT MEANS EVERYONE! INCLUDING ME! ARGH!
Whether they live in the Lewes/Brighton area is not all that important but useful. We also need rehearsal space so that we actually CAN meet up once we've sorted out the members.
I appreciate any help anyone can give us.
